This study explores how map-matching algorithms can be applied in smart security systems to improve tracking accuracy and real-time situational awareness. By refining raw location data and aligning it with road and infrastructure layouts, the technique enhances the detection of suspicious movement patterns and supports automated monitoring. The research demonstrates how accurate spatial mapping strengthens surveillance capabilities, improves response times, and enhances the reliability of modern smart security applications.
