This paper introduces a decentralized trust framework that synergistically combines Blockchain technology with advanced trust models to enhance the security and survivability of the Internet of Vehicles (IoV). By utilizing an immutable distributed ledger, the framework ensures data integrity and protects vehicular networks against malicious entities broadcasting false event messages. The proposed model features a secure trust-based optimized routing mechanism that effectively reduces communication overhead and time-delay while maintaining high throughput. Extensive simulation results demonstrate that this framework significantly outperforms traditional centralized architectures in terms of network resilience and real-time verification of trust scores. This research provides a robust foundation for building reliable and trustworthy communication ecosystems in modern intelligent transportation systems.
