Introduction

Dr. Kanta Prasad Sharma is an accomplished academician, researcher, and innovator in the field of Computer Science and Engineering, with over 16 years of teaching and research experience across leading universities in India. He is currently serving as an Professor at Amity University, Uttar Pradesh (Greater Noida Campus), where he also contributes as a Research Coordinator, fostering innovation and guiding advanced research initiatives.

A prolific researcher, Dr. Sharma has authored and co-authored over 120 research papers, with 95 indexed in Scopus and 65 in Web of Science/SCI journals. His work spans IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Navigation Systems, Machine Learning, and Data Security, with significant contributions to map matching algorithms, smart navigation, and healthcare applications of IoT.

Beyond publications, he has an impressive record of 30 granted patents (national and international) and multiple copyrights, demonstrating his commitment to practical innovation. He has also authored 5 books recommended by international university and 3 edited books with leading publishers including Springer and Wiley, further establishing his influence in academia and industry.

Dr. Sharma is an Chief Editor and Editorial Board Member of several international journals and has delivered 20 + keynote talks & guest lectures at universities and conferences worldwide, including in Brussels, Vietnam, and across India. His recognitions include the Research Excellence Award and Best Research Paper Award at Amity University Dubai.

Experience

I am a dedicated academic whose career spans over a decade, during which I have held various teaching positions. I am currently an Associate Professor at Amity University, Greater Noida Campus, contributing to the academic community since September 2024.

My previous roles include Assistant Professor positions at GLA University, Chandigarh University, GL Bajaj Group of Institutions, Rajiv Academy for Technology & Management, and several other prestigious institutions. I have also served as a Research Coordinator and Head of Departments, overseeing significant academic and research responsibilities.

Additionally, I have engaged with industry as an Industrial SPOC for the Samsung Prism Research Project.
